Interface and Home Page
The new LMS improves the user experience by offering more direct and intuitive access. Contents are organized in a more synthetic way, making the visual experience easier, and the side menu access provide quick access to the different sections. These articles go through the different sections and features of the portal, in order to become familiar with them quickly. Starting with the main page that you access after logging into the portal with your username and password, through its different sections. Access bar At the top of the screen is the Access Bar, consisting of several elements that make it easier to navigate through the different sections. Navigation menu Clicking on the icon of the three bars, in the upper left corner of the screen, displays a new side menu that gives direct access to the different sections. This menu is present on all pages of the portal. It is headed by three sections: Home: Leads back to the main page. Sprints: leads to the section where you will find the courses or training content to which you are enrolled or that have been suggested to you. They are organized into different categories (Featured, Recommended, My List...). Pathways: another way of organizing the training content, in this case the Pathways work as a collection of Sprints or courses related to a common topic or subject. They also show different categories. To learn more about how Sprints and Itineraries work, available categories... you can check the article on Sprints and Pathways. Search bar Clicking on the magnifying glass icon, in the upper right corner, displays a search bar, which can be used to directly access any Sprint or Pathway that is part of your training content. Enter the keywords in the text box titled Look for trainings and the portal will display a list of all the contents whose title matches them. Click on the Sprints and Pathways buttons to see the contents related to each category. If you do not select any, only the Sprints are displayed by default. It is necessary to use keywords that match the title of the Sprint or Pathway. The system only searches through titles, not descriptions or content. Account profile In the upper right corner of the page you can see the icon of your Account picture. Sometimes a number highlighted in red is shown above it, indicating that you have pending Notifications, as you will see later. Clicking on the account picture displays a new side menu that gives access to other sections of the platform: Your account: leads to your account page, where you can edit your data and account picture, change the Password or check the Groups to which you belong. Learning Records: leads to a section where you can check the Expedients of training in which you have participated and the Certificates you have obtained. Awards & Badges: leads to another page where you can see the list of Badges you have received for completing certain trainings, your overall Points (some courses award points) and your position in the student Ranking according to that score. My Apps: leads to the general access page of the platform, from where you can enter the different training applications to which you have access (such as Share), and check the Announcements and Notifications. Log Out: to disconnect your account completely and exit the platform. To learn more about these sections and how they work, you can check the Account Tools article. You can also find direct access to some of them at the bottom of the page. Featured Carousel In the header of the page is the carousel of Highlights, a presentation that shows the covers of the Sprints and Pathways in which you are enrolled or recommended that have been highlighted by the trainers. You can move from one to another using the arrows located on the left and right, access the content by clicking on the first button (Enroll, Continue, Review), or include them among your favorites by clicking on the second button Add to My List. Themed carousels Under the Carousel of Highlights, scrolling on the page, you see the rest of the formations that have been assigned to you distributed in different carousels according to their characteristics or themes: those that you are studying in Keep learning and My Learning; your favorites in My List; those who have not yet started in Coming soon... These carousels correspond to the different categories that you can find on the Sprints and Pathways pages. To know more about them, you can check the article about Sprints and Pathways. Accessibility options Finally in the lower right part of the screen you see the icon of a silhouette, which allows you to see the Accessibility Options of the portal. Clicking on it displays a new side menu with a whole series of tools that make it easier to read and understand the training content, visually and audibly, a great help if you have any trouble to access it. Options such as an Text Reader, a Magnifier, a Virtual Keyboard... This access is available throughout the navigation across the portal. The Accessibility menu may be displayed in another language by default. To change it, click the drop-down menu at the top.

Entity carousels
LMS displays a new interface with a carousel system that changes its naming and the content distribution. The aim is to make it easier to identify content, distinguish between mandatory and optional, and access the trainings. These changes affect both the carousels displayed on the screen and the sections of the side menu. This changes the previous system, oriented to entities (courses, pathways, events), for another one based on the type of training (mandatory, optional, in progress, completed). It also introduces multi-entity carousels, which can contain courses, pathways and events at the same time, differentiated by the thumbnail: pathways have an icon in the upper corner with several tabs, and the number of contents are displayed above the title events display the start date in a box in the upper corner Side menu is redesign, grouping the carousels in related blocks. Clicking on the title of the carousel you can access the complete list. In this table you can see the new carousel distribution and the function of each one: Title Function Featured Contents highlighted by the trainer for all the users who have been summoned or enrolled in them Keep learning Contents in which the user is enrolled and his progress is greater than zero, but have not been completed Required Contents in which the user is mandatory enrolled, but have not been completed My list Contents for which the user clicked the Add to my list button Explore Contents (public and non-public) to which the user was summoned optionally or recommended. It does not include mandatory enrollments Soon Contents to which the user was summoned, but the start date is yet to come About carousels behaviour Start date The content's start date may vary its visibility in the carousels: Required: all contents are displayed regardless of their start date Explore: depends on the type of content: Courses and pathways: displayed if the start date has been met (training currently open) Events: always displayed, regardless of the start date Soon: contents are displayed if the start date is coming soon (planned training). Required content If there is no required content in a pathway, the progress bar behaves as if all courses were required. Completeness When a content is completed it will stop showing in the automatic carousels. It will only be displayed in: My list, until the user clicks the Remove from my list button Customed carousels Users can still access completed content through the Learning records section, until the training is closed or deleted.

First level buttons in cards
Hovering the pointer over the thumbnail shows the main action in first level, along with the access to the information. For example, depending on whether it is a new content, if you have completed it... a button appears to enroll or review the content directly, without accessing the pop-up window. Actions that you can find are: Enroll, if it is a recommended or optional content and you are not subscribed. Resume, if you are already subscribed to the content. Review, if you have already completed the content. Therefore the rest of the card no longer has any action assigned to it, which means that if you click on the rest of the thumbnail nothing happens.

Account tools, Records and Awards
The LMS introduces new tools that allow the user to track his progress and results in the trainings more precisely. In this article you will see these different tools, which you can access from the Account Profile menu, or at the bottom of the main page. Learning Records This section serves as a record of all the courses and trainings you have completed, your results and the cetifications you have received. It has two different sections: Expedients Here you will find a list of all the Sprints you have completed, both those you have completed successfully (Passed) and those that you have not (Not passed). Each entry of the list shows: the title of the Sprint, if you have passed it or not, and the completion date. Clicking on the Sprint opens the course information pop-up window, that shows three new sections: Reviews: Here you can leave a review of the Sprint, rate it from 1 to 5 stars and leave a comment about your experience. You can also check the reviews left by other users who also completed the training. The Reviews option is not available in the pop-up window after completing a course. It is necessary to access this section in the Learning Records to be able to rate it. Ranking: here you can check the score you have achieved by completing the different activities of the course, and your classification related to the rest of the students. Awards: shows the badges you have earned for completing the course and the activities. Certificates Some courses may award a final diploma certificating you have completed it successfully, and its contents. Not all Sprints give these Certificates, it depends on how they have been configured by those responsible for the training. In this section you can see all the certificates you have achieved throughout your training. Clicking on the button in the top row you can see a list of all these certificates. Each is identified by the title of the training and the completion date. The ↓ DOWNLOAD button allows you to save a printable copy of the certificate in PDF format to your computer. The certificate includes, in addition to the student's data, the duration of the training, completion dates, and its contents. Awards & Badges This section shows your achievements throughout all courses, in the form of Badges and points that mark your Ranking related to the rest of the students. Badges Many Activities and Sprints award badges as a reward for completing them, which certify your good work in the subject. In this section you can see all the Badges you have achieved throughout your training. By clicking on any of them, a pop-up window appears where, in addition to the title and description of the badge, you can see the overcoming Criteria , the challenge you overcame in order to achieve it. From version LMS 6.6 (June 7th, 2023) this section will also show the badges you can earn. Check this article for more information. Ranking Many Activities and Sprints also award points for completing them. All the points you get throughout your training will be added to establish your place in the general ranking related to the rest of the students on the portal. In this section you can see the top ten and your place on the list, in addition to the total score you have obtained so far.

Badges won and available
So far, when accessing the Awards and Badges page and clicking on the Badges section, the student could only see the ones he had achieved, that is, the ones awarded for those trainings he had completed. From now on the student will see both the badges he has earned and those he can earn. That is, the awards for training courses in which he is enrolled but has not yet completed. These are distinguished from those already earned because they are shaded with a dotted line around them. When you click on them, a pop-up window will also appear with the completion criteria, that is, the requirements that the student has to meet in order to achieve them. Besides this, for the badges that the student already has, the date on which they were obtained is shown, that is, when the student completed the training. The student must be enrolled in the training for a badge to appear on the list. That is, it will be displayed when the training is Optional or Mandatory. If it is a Recommended or a Public Training, the badges will not be displayed.

Sprints and Pathways
In the LMS the training content is organized based on two related structures: Sprints and Pathways. This article explains each one and the different categories they can feature. Sprints The Sprint is the basic unit of training. It could be seen as a course itself, a set of activities of all kinds that provide knowledge to the student, and sometimes can evaluate and reward him according to his performance. Sprints can be as complex or simple as the trainer want, depending on the amount of content and activities he includes. Sprints are simply limited by a specific theme, they train the student on a particular subject. Throughout the main page you can find all the Sprints to which you have been enrolled or invited, divided into different categories. But to see these categories in detail you must go to the Sprints page itself, clicking on the Navigation Menu and selecting the Sprints section. Featured Once inside the Sprints page, you can scroll through the different categories using the row of buttons at the top. The first category that appears by default is Featured. These contents have been especially highlighted by the trainers to increase their visibility, due to their importance. They are the same contents that you see in the header presentation on the home page. In the thumbnail of each course, in addition to the title and the cover image, you can see other Sprint status markers: If the Mandatory label appears in the upper right corner, it means that enrollment for the course is not voluntary, you are required to complete it. A blue Progress Bar under the heading indicates that you have started the training, and shows the percentage of the course you've completed so far. For Pathways, the progress bar is not shown in the thumbnail but inside the Pathway itself, as you will see below in the Pathways section. When you have finally completed the training, the thumbnail is shaded and a √ symbol appears above the title. Keep Learning The second category in the list contains the Sprints or training that you are currently taking, that you are enrolled in and have already started. Go here when you want to continue any of the courses you have not completed. As already mentioned, the blue progress bar under the title shows the percentage of the course you have completed so far. My Learning In this category you will find other Sprints in which you are also enrolled but have not yet started, all the training you have yet to start. Go here when you want to start a new training. The blue progress bar in these Sprints is shown empty. My List While exploring the Sprints available, you have the possibility to save the ones you are most interested in, by adding them to a personal list similar to a Favorites. You can save both the Sprints you are enrolled in and those you are not: If you're already enrolled, go to the Sprint and look for the Info icon in the top right corner, next to your profile picture. Clicking on it opens a pop-up window with the course data, and the Add to My List button. If you are not enrolled, simply click on the Sprint thumbnail and the information window appears with the Add to My List button. To view this list of saved Sprints, go to the Sprints page and click on the My List category. To remove any Sprint from this list, re-enter the Information window and click the Remove from My List button. Recommended This category shows Sprints that you are not enrolled in, but that trainers believe may be of interest to you and that you should add to your training. Clicking on the thumbnail brings up a new pop-up window with all the course information. To add it to your training, click on the ENROLL button. Coming soon In this category you can see the planned trainings, the courses in which you are enrolled or that have been recommended, but that have an upcoming start date, have not yet begun. As soon as these courses start, they will no longer appear in this category and will move to My Learning, or Recommended, depending on whether you are enrolled in it or not. To know how much time is left until the start of the training, just click on the thumbnail to see the pop-up window with all the Sprint information. The button to register or access the contents is disabled, and shows the remaining days to the start. Custom Categories The categories seen so far are shown in the platform by default, they can be found in any instance. But apart from them, each team of trainers can add other Custom Categories that they consider important, or that make it easier to navigate through the contents. For example, you can create different themes to group the Sprints that deal with the same theme. You can see them in the last places of the header of the Sprints page. Pathways Pathways are a way of organizing training content, a higher level than Sprints. They work as a collection of courses related to a common topic or subject that form a learning path. They also include links to external resources that have to do with the subject of the channel and serve as support for the Sprints. You can find all the Pathways to which you have been enrolled or invited on the main page. And they are also distributed in the different categories such as Sprints. To see them, go to the Pathways page itself, clicking on the Navigation Menu and selecting the Pathways section. In essence they work in a similar way to the Featured, My List (My Pathways) and Recommended that you already saw on the Sprints page. One of the differences compared to Sprints is that the Progress Bar is not displayed in the thumbnail, but inside the Pathway itself. If you access the Pathway by clicking on its thumbnail you see the header with the Progress Bar, and if you will get a Badge when you complete the Pathway. Below are the Sprints of the Pathway, divided into Stages or phases of the training, one or more. Each Sprint thumbnail shows again whether the Sprint is Mandatory to complete the Pathway, and the progress of each one. To successfully complete a Pathway it is necessary to pass all the mandatory Sprints. The progress bar of the Pathway shows the number of mandatory Sprints you have completed. If there are also non-mandatory Sprints they will not count for the percentage.

More information about the contents
From now you will have full access to all the information of a content just clicking on it, including Reviews and Awards. So far you could only access this information if you were enrolled, now this step is not necessary. Clicking on the thumbnail you can access the pop-up window with all this information. You can see the reviews of other users, but obviously you will not be able to leave your own until you have enrolled and completed the content.

Users without content
A home screen has been added for the particular case of a user who has no content. What happens if a user has no content? In case a student, that is someone who only has user role in LMS, does not yet have any associated content, the following message is displayed when logging into the platform: The side menus are still active, which means that the user can navigate through the different sections. But these are shown empty with the message that there is no content. For this message to be displayed on the main page, the following must be fulfilled: The user has not been enrolled in any type of training, mandatory, optional or recommended. No public training has been published. If there is any public training on the platform, it will automatically show up in the Recommended carousel on the home page of all users.

Complete a Sprint
In the LMS completing your training is even easier and more intuitive. In this article you will see how to do it step by step. First, remember that the content is organized by small courses, called Sprints, which are divided into different categories (to know how, you can check this article). The Sprints are composed of several Activities in which you can learn new concepts or evaluate your knowledge. Therefore, these activities can be of several types: videos, interactive presentations, quizzes ... Once you complete the requirements, you have successfully passed the Sprint. Then you can check your records and awards, and in some cases download a Certificate. Mandatory and recommended sprints You must remember that there are two types of Sprints, depending on how they have been assigned to you: Mandatory: Sprints that trainers require you to complete. You are enrolled to them automatically and you must complete them within the deadline. To distinguish them from the rest, simply look for the Mandatorylabel in the upper right corner of the course thumbnail. Remember that a Sprint can start immediately or at an upcoming date. Depending on this, the mandatory Sprints can appear in two different categories: My Learning if the training has already been opened; or Coming soon if the training is about to start in the near future Recommended: sometimes trainers can also suggest new trainings related with your skills, or that they consider of special interest. In this case it is not mandatory, enrollment is optional. You can find these Sprints in the Recommended category, clicking on them appears a pop-up window with all the relative information, and the Enrollbutton to access the content. Remember that when you sign up for the Sprint, it will move from Recommended to My Learning category. Once started, it is not possible to unsubscribe from a recommended Sprint, but it is not mandatory to complete it either. Accessing my Sprints To access your training simply log in to the platform with your username and password, and on the main page look for the first carousel of thumbnails, named My Learning. Here you will find all the Sprints in which you are enrolled, both those that you have not started, and those that you started but have not completed yet. If you access the Sprints page from the side menu, select the My Learning category in the row of buttons to view these Sprints. Click on any of them to access their content. Inside the Sprint Once inside the Sprint you can see the list of Activities, separated by Blocks with a cover image and a small introduction. There may be one or several blocks, depending on the formation. You may not be able to access some blocks or activities, which appear blocked (shaded with a padlock symbol). To access them you must first complete other previous activities, in the thumbnail you can see the requirements to access. On the main page of the Sprint you will see a information button (circle icon with the "i") in the upper right corner, which shows you a new window with the course information, the evaluation criteria and the awards that you will get for completing it. There is also an information button next to each activity, which also shows you the awards and evaluation criteria of each specific activity. Starting the Sprint Once you know the content and requirements to complete the course, simply click on the first activity and follow the on-screen instructions to start the training. In the upper right corner is the X button to close the activity and return to the Sprint page. Remember that only xAPI activities save the progress you are getting. If you close other types of activities (video, quizz...) before completing them, you will lose the progress you made, and you will have to start again from the beginning. Once you complete the activity, you can close it by clicking on the X and your progress will be saved. You can check it by the thumbnail of the activity, you will see that it appears shaded with a √ symbol. The trainer can activate the possibility of leaving a comment on each activity with your opinion about the training. In that case, next to the information icon will appear another one in a dialog box shape. Click on it to display a side menu where you can leave your opinion and see the comments of other participants. Besides, if the Sprint is evaluable, in the upper right corner, next to the Information button, a wheel appears with the percentage of evaluable Activities that you have passed so far. Clicking on it shows you a new window with your score and the passing criteria. Completing the Sprint Once you complete the activities, passing the evaluation criteria, you will have successfully completed the Sprint. A pop-up window will confirm your achievement and display your results. Click the OK button to return to the portal, or on BACK TO SPRINT to return to the course and review the contents. Some Sprints may not allow you to go back to review the content once you've completed them, depending on its setting. Check my results and leave a review If you want to be sure whether or not you have successfully completed a training, simply go to the Learning Records section of your Account Tools. The Sprint should appear in the Expedients list, with the Passed mark next to the date you completed it. If the training also awarded a certificate, it will be available for download in the Certificates tab. To leave a review of the course, click on the thumbnail to open the information pop-up window, and go to the Reviews section. Regarding the Pathways, only the mandatory Sprints count towards the completion of the course. The course will be considered completed and will disappear from My Pathways carousel even if there are other non-mandatory Sprints that have not been completed. Therefore, we recommend that before finishing the last mandatory Sprint, you make sure that you have completed the rest. Remember also that the progress bar only increases with the mandatory Sprints you complete. If the Pathway does not have any mandatory Sprint, you will not see any progress reflected in the bar. But you can be sure that you have completed it because it will disappear from My Pathways carousel, and will show as Passed in the Learning Records.

Unenroll from an Event
This makes it easier for users to participate in Events. So far if a learner decided to self-enroll in an event, or was enrolled in an optional event, this was irreversible. He could not unenroll himself, he had to request it to the training administrator. From now on each user is free to change their decision, although there are some exceptions as you will see below. Unenroll option is only available for Events. It is not available for Courses or Pathways. Unenroll from an Event in LMS From now on, as user in LMS you can unenroll, that is leave the list of participants, of the public or recommended events in which I have self-enrolled, or of those optional events in which the administrator has enrolled you. The way to do it is very simple: enter LMS and in the Events carousel look for the one you want to leave. The Enrolled flag should appear on the thumbnail indicating you are among the participants. Click on the event to open the pop-up window with the information, attachments... Now an Unenroll button appears under the title and date, just click on it to leave the event. This action can be reversed. If you unenroll from an event, you can enroll again later. If the administrator of the training has enrolled you in a mandatory way, you won't be able to unenroll, so the button will not appear in the window. Exceptions: when can a user not Unenroll? Remember that there are several ways to enroll a user in an Event: mandatory, optional, recommended and public training. In addition, you can enroll a user individually, in a group, or through a CSV file used to enroll several users individually. The type of enrollment will determine whether or not the user can unenroll from an Event: In case of individual enrollment and through CSV, the user can leave the events in which he has been enrolled optionally, recommended or by public training. He can never leave a mandatory event. In case of group enrollment, the user can only leave recommended events or by public training, he cannot leave optional events by group. This is due to the fact that in the first two cases it is really the user himself who has individually self-enrolled for the event, therefore he can be deleted from the list of participants. In case of the optional enrollment it is the administrator who enrolls the group as a whole, there is no individual enrollment of the user, therefore only the group as a whole can be unenrolled. Individually / CSV In group Mandatory enrollment Cannot unenroll Cannot unenroll Optional enrollment Can unenroll Cannot unenroll Recommended enrollment Can unenroll Can unenroll Public training Can unenroll Can unenroll There is another exception independent of the type of enrollment. If within the Training in the LMS Admin, the Trainer or Administrator has marked the user's attendance at the Event, the option to unenroll is blocked and the user will not be able to leave on their own. In this case, for the user to be able to leave the event, the trainer or administrator must first delete his attendance at the event, marking him as not attended. Then the Un-enroll button will be available again to the user.
