Initial setup | Structure and navigation
TOKYO is the most complete and adaptable template offered by Netex. It allows us to create contents that have various navigation levels (sections and/or subsections). These can include different data thanks to a wide range of components. Structure This template offers two types of basic pages: Navigation We can navigate in landscape mode across pages, as buttons are located on the right and on the left of the page. If a page has various screens (or sections), we can use the Up button and Down buttons located at the bottom of the page to navigate. Moreover, units also consist of: Navigation menu. It is used to access pages and sections. Check here to see how to configure. Unit tools. These are optional features that can include elements such as Search tool, Language selector, Glossary, Help, etc. Go to the previous page. See here how to hide this buttons. Go to the next page. See here how to hide this buttons. Navigate across screens (or sections) within the same page. Check here to see how to configure. Students know where they are, as they are guided by available titles: Unit title.Check here to see how to configure this title. Page title or section title. Check here to see how to configure this title. Screen title or subsection title. Check here to see how to configure this title. Navigation menu shows pages ( 1 ) and screens ( 2 ). These are similar to sections and subsections. All pages and screens appear by default, but this option can be customised. We can decide whether to show or hide some of these elements. Read here to know how to customise the Navigation menu.

Initial setup | Unit title
The title is a text located at the top of the interface. Simply select the text and compose the desired title. As you can see, when you edit the title, the text editor is activated, so you can modify its properties (bold, italic, color...). To see how to use the text editor, see here in the Editor's Manual. NOTE: The unit title is relevant data as the LMS training platform will use the unit title to identify it over any other. This is a data that must be included in the manifest file of the unit. So, if you change the unit title, the LMS platform won't let you update it. (See more information). See here how to set the title.

Initial setup | Navigation menu
A unit created with Tokyo can be configured to have a top menu that shows its structure of pages and screens (which would allow us to organize the contents of a section into sub-sections). In the edition you can configure: Show or hide the Menu Select Menu Style Show the Folded or Unfolded Menu Decide which pages and screens are displayed in the Menu Show or hide the Menu By default, when you create a unit with the Tokyo template, a Navigation Menu is autogenerated in the upper-left corner, showing existing pages as well as screens or sections of those pages. If we wish, we can hide this Menu. This would force the user to move between the different pages and sections using only the forward and backward buttons. Hiding the Menu can be interesting if, for example, we want to create a unit that has a single page. To hide the menu we must: Press the interface of the unit. Access the "Properties" menu. Find the "Show Menu" property and select the "No" option. Select Menu Style There are two menu styles available: Normal menu. Condensed menu. It is a menu designed to display page titles and long screens. To select one of the styles click on the top "Interface", go to the "Properties" tab and use the "Style" property. Show the Folded or Unfolded Menu By default, the list of screens on a page appears open, but we can define that the list of sections is closed. So, we just view the list of pages and we have to click on each to view their screens or sections. To display the folded menu we must: Select the Interface. Click on the "Properties" menu. In the "Folded Submenu" property check the "Yes" option. Decide which pages and screens are displayed in the Menu By default, all pages and their screens will be displayed in the Menu, but if desired, they can be easily hidden. Simply access the properties of the pages or screens and check "No" in the "Show in menu" property.
